bluelike website is in beta!
After many hours of developing this website, it's finally nearing completion and is in beta!
Why spend so much time making a ceramics website?
Well, because it was a fun challenge, and also because I want Bluelike Ceramics to be a different kind of business model for how a ceramic artist can reach their people.
The current model relies heavily on social media, on forcing any artist to develop a following, post 'content' regularly, and try to go viral. It works for some artists, but I've experienced firsthand how the incentives at play here can suck you into the spiral of mimetic creativity and the comparing mind. And I don't want to be chained to Instagram.
So making a nice website and a smooth way to engage with what I've made is the first step in breaking away from the social media model. Let me know what you think, and if there are things that could improve your experience here!
